You will provide tailored instruction to meet each student’s unique needs, coordinate with professionals from various disciplines, and serve as the case manager responsible for overseeing the progress and support of your assigned students.Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection and charting systemsManage behavioral challengesSupervise and manage activities of aides assigned to the classroomAssure that appropriate curriculum is established and implementedOrganize an effective classroom environmentAdminister appropriate and effective instructional strategiesCoordinate and collaborate with Support Service PersonnelCollaborate and effectively communicate with families and external service providersDemonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilitiesDemonstrate professional writing skillsAssure deadlines are metAdheres to The Summit Center Core Agency Values of Adaptability, Accountability, Collaboration, Integrity, Optimism, and RespectEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Special Education required, Masters degree in Special Education preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: NYS Special Education Permanent certificate or Students with Disabilities certificate or actively working toward certificationAt The Summit Center, you’ll be part of a compassionate, highly trained team committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
