Task Force / Traveling General ManagerJanus Hotels & ResortsCompensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually (based on experience)Location: Extensive travel required – Primarily Midwest & East CoastJob Type: Full-time, SalariedPosition SummaryJanus Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Task Force / Traveling General Manager to support our portfolio of select-service hotels across Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, and Choice brands.This highly visible leadership role requires extensive travel and flexibility. The Task Force GM will step in to operate hotels during leadership transitions, assist with new openings, train and mentor on-property General Managers, and help drive financial and operational performance until permanent leadership is in place.The ideal candidate is a hands-on hotel leader with multi-brand experience, strong financial acumen, and a track record of stabilizing and improving hotel operations.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Acting General Manager in the absence of, or transition between, assigned GMsProvide operational and leadership support as directed by the Regional Vice President or senior leadershipTravel extensively to assigned properties, including extended stays based on business needsStabilize hotel operations and ensure consistent execution of brand standards and company policiesLead and support hotel openings with a detail-oriented, tactical approach focused on quality, timelines, and financial performanceDrive performance results across key metrics including Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, NOI, and Guest SatisfactionMonitor brand audit results, guest satisfaction scores, and online reviews; ensure timely and professional responsesImplement and manage revenue optimization strategies to drive base and incremental revenueEnsure assets are well-maintained and hotels consistently meet brand and ownership expectationsConduct property inspections to verify compliance with brand standards and operational best practicesAnalyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to identify trends and corrective actionsAssist the executive leadership team with special projects as assignedParticipate in annual budgeting and financial planning effortsPerform all other duties as required to support company objectivesQualificationsTo perform this role successfully, candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively execute all essential job functions.
