Companion Aide
SEEKING IMMEDIATE HIRES! We are looking for responsible, caring, and up-beat people to work as a Companion Aide. We have supportive staff, clean facilities, and a low staff to resident ratio. You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals. We have two locations, Aiea Heights Senior Living and Waialae Senior Living: Aiea Heights Senior Living is a 22-bed care home located near the top of Aiea Heights Drive in Aiea with a beautiful view of the ocean.Waialae Senior Living and Waialae Senior Living 2 are each 5-bed care homes located in town near UH Manoa. The care homes are located on different floors of the same building and the residents from the two homes interact with each other daily. RESPONSIBILITIES We will train on the job for a possible future career as a Nursing Assistant.Assist residents with daily living activitiesCommunicate ongoing care results and updates to relevant partiesCollaborate with residents and families for best care opportunitiesMaintain a healthy and comfortable living environmentProvide residents with companionship and friendship MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required: Previous experience in personal care or other related fieldsCompassionate and caring demeanorExcellent written and verbal communication skills2-Step TB clearance or Chest X-ray (with prior positive result)Fieldprint background check (criminal, adult protective services, and child abuse and neglect)Current CPR/First Aid CertificationMedical clearance (within the past 12 months)COVID-19 vaccinationPreferred: One year experience with caring for elderly or disabled individualsWORKING HOURS We have three shifts available for Companion Aides 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM2:00 PM - 10:30 PM10:00 PM - 6:30 AM12-hour shifts are also possible JOB TYPE: Full-time, Part-time, or Casual (PRN) PAYStarting at $14 per hourTime and a half on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and ChristmasQuarterly bonus for perfect attendance WORK LOCATION: Aiea Heights (96701) BENEFITS/PERKS Free Parking Paid Vacation Paid Sick Leave Full-time: Health InsuranceVision InsuranceDental Insurance
