{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ccd59df98645f36abfde9512","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccd59df98645f36abfde9512","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccd59df98645f36abfde9512","title":"CA EH&S Specialist","description":"Location\nUS-California-Long Beach\n\nOverview\nTo lead the location in ensuring an environmentally sound, healthy, and safe workplace for every Associate.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nEnsure continued compliance with environmental and safety laws and regulations.\n\nVerify that the location’s environmental standards conform to the requirements of ISO 14001 and HEXPOL’s Management System.\n\nLead Environmental, Health and Safety program initiatives to promote and enhance a safe workplace.\n\nCommunicate with regulatory agencies.\n\nConduct routine location inspections to determine the existence of hazards and take measures to correct.\n\nProvide Associate training (including new hire safety orientation and monthly Environmental, Health and Safety related topics).\n\nPlan, organize, and moderate the location’s safety committee meetings.\n\nInvestigate all incidents for root cause. Work with staff to implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\n\nTravel may be required, up to 25% of the time.\n\nPerform any other project/task as assigned by Management.\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Emergency Management, or related degree, desired.
