{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ccc2a85c02580c2732d660c9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccc2a85c02580c2732d660c9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccc2a85c02580c2732d660c9","title":"Electro Mechanical Engineer","description":"Responsibilities\n\nBuild prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.\n\nWork with Mechanical and Electrical engineers to create designs that can be integrated into a manufacturing workflow.\n\nUse SolidWorks to design parts, create assemblies, and create detailed engineering drawings complete with GD&T.\n\nReview and interpret technical specifications, validate requirements for design, and manage manufacturing milestones to support component deliverables.\n\nWork with production staff to understand problem areas and create solutions with little direction.\n\nAuthor engineering changes and test procedures for complex ROV systems and subsystems.\n\nSupport the development of standard processes and documentation.\n\nInspect parts and assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards.\n\nParticipate in ECN, MRB, critical design review, and DFMA meetings.\n\nResolve technical problems that would significantly affect performance, cost or schedule.\n\nLead Design Reviews, run analysis, define and execute hardware test plans, propose and implement changes.\n\nReview, interpret and approve technical documents, designs and schematics.\n\nDrive the development of comprehensive mechanical engineering specifications for new product development, support the prototype development process throughout product development to production release.\n\nCommunicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.\n\nCoordinate with other departments affected by new product design, development and release.\n\nInvestigate pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, efficiency, requirements and cost.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.\n\n5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing setting: aerospace, robotics, automotive, medical device, or similar.\n\nAdvanced user of SolidWorks CAD software.\n\nHands on making experience: wood working, CNC, 3D printing, soldering, and other technical skills; thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, PCBs, waterjet, etc.\n\nAbility to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).\n\nAble to perform tolerance analysis to verify fit and function of designs.\n\nHighly driven to ensure high quality standards;
