You will work directly alongside experienced estimators and Project Executives on real pursuits from day one, with increasing responsibility as you earn it.WHAT YOU’LL DOPerform quantity takeoffs from construction documents using Stack/BluebeamAssist in preparing and distributing bid packages via BuildingConnectedTrack subcontractor bids, maintain the bid log, and follow up through the solicitation periodSupport bid leveling by compiling responses and flagging scope gaps for senior reviewAttend pre-bid meetings and assist with site surveys as directedHelp maintain the Shames estimating database and pursuit filesSupport proposal preparation, scope letters, and project handoff documentationWHAT YOU BRING1-3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or a related fieldAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering construction documentsProficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam or Procore is a plusWillingness to learn Stack and BuildingConnectedHighly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable under deadline pressureBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredOSHA 10 required within 90 days of hireCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSSalary: $78,000 – $95,000 per year DOE Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, 401(k), PTO, 7 paid holidays Shames Construction Company is an equal opportunity employer.
