{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ccaf2675da823abc32bae793","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccaf2675da823abc32bae793","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ccaf2675da823abc32bae793","title":"Engineering & Maintenance Intern","description":"Job Description\nProvide solutions and recommendations for technical problems.\nCreate mechanical solutions for typical engineering or maintenance problems.\nScope work creation.\nAssist in directing Maintenance craft personnel and/or third-party contractors.\nCalculate torque, strength, or power requirements for mechanical solutions.\nCreate engineering BOMs.\nCreation of Engineering Change Notices.\nNew part qualification / testing (Lab and Field).\nEvaluate equipment to industry standards and specifications.\nResearch applicable test methods based on industry standards.\nAssist with physical and administrative preventative maintenance on equipment.\nAssist with repairs on equipment as needed.\nTracking downtime issues dealing with maintenance related items.\nAssist in generating and executing a preventative maintenance schedule for existing and new assets/equipment.\nData and historical record management and reporting.\nMaintenance systems management.\nWork independently under limited supervision (self-management).\nDocumentation of work schedule and work tasks.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob Requirements\nBe enrolled in formal schooling in a Mechatronics or similar Industrial Maintenance course (e.g., certification program, technical/community college) OR recently graduated from such a program or course within the last 6 months.\nBasic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (physics, materials, pneumatics).\nMust have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel & Word, and Adobe.\nExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).\nDemonstrable CAD expertise, preferably Solidworks.\nKnowledge of electronic Maintenance Management System.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nGood analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.\nGood project management skills.\nExperience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).\nExperience with mechanical set up (lubrication, sprockets, belts, chains).\nExperience with troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.).\nExperience with machine shop skills (e.g., hydraulic press, drill press, hand tools).\nStrong adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.\nAble to create detailed reports and presentations.\nExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.\nCompetency in Microsoft applications including Dynamics 365, Power BI, Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nExperience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, seals, bearings).\nExperience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, motors).\nExperience with conveyers (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).\nExperience with hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting).\nExperience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).\nExperience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).\nExperience with preventative maintenance.\nExperience working in team-based environments (working together with others).\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
