Concrete Patcher (Laborer)

Precast Concrete plant in King George, VA has immediate opening for Concrete Patchers Summary: We are looking for hardworking, dependable and safety minded individuals to join our team. Join us in playing one of the many key roles in building and maintaining America’s infrastructure! Experience is preferred but not required. We will train suitable candidates based on the job assignment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patch holes with concrete patch mix or epoxy compound. Acid etch, water wash, paint or sandblast to finish product. Chip, grind and repair horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. Patch/paint and rub surfaces to smooth or sand finish. Place the patch mix. Texture the patch to match the panel. Weigh the correct proportions (From the approved patch mix design) of materials needed in the patch mix. Use air or electric jack hammers and repair old concrete surfaces. Use concrete saws or concrete drills to cut panels or drill out dowel holes Ability to use ladders/stairs and tie-off to forms and lifts. Operate a boom lift or climb ladders to access panels or panel areas to be patched/painted Works within precise standards of accuracy. Works outside and the work environment fluctuates with the weather Additional Responsibilities: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Day consists of standing, walking, bending, stooping.
