The ideal candidate will help to drive operational excellence across our processes, systems, and teams. This role blends problem solving with data analytics and Lean methodology to eliminate waste, improve flow, and strengthen performance. You will partner with marine & manufacturing operations, engineering, quality, project management and supply chain to deliver measurable, sustainable improvements.\n\nResponsibilities\nLean & CI Program\nSupport Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and rapid improvement workshops.\nCoach teams on Lean tools (5S, standard work, visual management, SMED, Kanban).\nSupport deployment of CI roadmaps, maturity assessments, and cultural adoption.\nProcess Optimization\nAnalyze current processes using time studies, spaghetti diagrams, and workflow analysis.\nIdentify bottlenecks, waste, and variation; propose and implement optimized solutions.\nImprove throughput, cycle time, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization.\nData & Performance Analytics\nUse data (OEE, scrap, downtime, takt time, capacity models) to diagnose issues and prioritize improvements.\nBuild dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance and sustain gains.\nPartner with IT ERP teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.\nProblem Solving & Root Cause Analysis\nFacilitate structured problem solving (A3, 8D, fishbone, 5 Why).\nDrive corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams.\nValidate effectiveness of solutions through trials, metrics, and audits.\nProject Execution\nParticipate in CI projects from concept through implementation, ensuring measurable ROI.\nSupport layout changes, equipment upgrades, and process redesigns.\nCollaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure alignment.\nStandardization & Sustainment\nDevelop and maintain standard work, visual controls, and process documentation.\nConduct layered audits to verify adherence and identify gaps.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Industrial, Mechanical), Operations, or related field.\n1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement roles.\nWorking knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, preferred\nStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Power BI.\nAbility to influence without authority and work effectively across functions.\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.\n\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
