Accredited Chef Laurent Tourondel is bringing his culinary expertise to Philadelphia with his new restaurant concept Terra Grill.  We are a group of passionate hospitality professionals with a profound sense of ownership and pride in all aspects of restaurant service. We are looking for talented and professional individuals to join our service team.  Your job is to provide a hospitable dining experience to every guest. Everything you do within the restaurant is to communicate a safe and welcoming environment, and a professionally curated dining experience. As a server, you have the most one-on-one time with our guests, and it is up to you to properly display the type of service we strive to achieve at Terra Grill. Servers at Terra Grill will flawlessly execute the fundamentals of table service, and personalize the way in which they complete their tasks to deliver a guest experience that is a combination of hospitality and personality, with the end result of a memorable dining experience. Primary Duties: To set the tone for guest experience, take orders and serve food and beverages, answer inquiries relative to items on our menu. To tend to the wishes and requests of the guests as well as suggestively sell and curate a one-of-a-kind dining experience in a professional manner. To anticipate the needs of every guest. Major Areas of Responsibility: Create a warm, and enjoyable atmosphere for guests, while being committed to exceeding guest expectations. Attend pre-service meetings according to schedule Greet all newly seating guests in a friendly and timely manner, in accordance with steps of service requirements Able to answer all questions regarding food and drink items, their presentation, ingredients, and accompanying off-menu items and prices Able to guide guests in selecting food and beverage items Properly ring in all food and beverage items into the POS Place accurate orders and attend to guest needs when delivering food and beverage items. Able to possess an understanding of where all guests are at within their dining experiences throughout their designated section of the dining room. Able to follow all company procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests Able to effectively card all guests to appear to be under the age of 30 Collect payments (credit cards, cash) for drinks and food served following company established accounting procedures for all transactions within a timely manner Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate Ensures assigned section and the restaurant in its entirety is set-up properly for service; including table settings, table and furniture placement, and all service related areas/side stands are set and clean to company standards More detail about Terra Grill part of Laurent Tourondel Hospitality, please visit
