We are committed to developing the next generation of skilled technicians through hands-on training and mentorship.\r\nPosition Summary\r\nSTH is seeking an Apprentice Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with their hands and are eager to learn a skilled trade.\r\nThe Apprentice Technician will work alongside experienced Field Service Technicians, assisting with equipment maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installations while developing the skills necessary to advance into a fully independent technician role.\r\nNo direct pump industry experience is required. Candidates with backgrounds in farming, automotive repair, plumbing, maintenance, construction, or other hands-on trades are encouraged to apply.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAssist technicians with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of pumps, motors, and rotating equipment.\r\nLearn proper equipment disassembly, inspection, and reassembly procedures.\r\nSupport troubleshooting efforts for mechanical and electrical equipment issues.\r\nAssist with preventative maintenance and field service activities at customer locations.\r\nSafely operate hand and power tools.\r\nGather equipment information and assist with documentation of service work.\r\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\r\nProvide professional customer service while representing the company in the field.\r\nParticipate in company training programs and hands-on learning opportunities.\r\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\r\nQualifications\r\nMechanical aptitude and a desire to learn a skilled trade.\r\nAbility to use basic hand tools and perform physical work.\r\nStrong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.\r\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\r\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record.\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\r\nPreferred Backgrounds\r\nFarming or agricultural equipment experience.\r\nAutomotive repair or maintenance.\r\nPlumbing.\r\nConstruction trades.\r\nMechanical assembly or repair.\r\nOther hands-on labor or technical environments.\r\nSecurity & Background Requirements\r\nMany customer locations require enhanced security screening. Candidates must be able to successfully pass background investigations and meet customer site access requirements.
