Logistical Coordinator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistical Coordinator to manage the inbound and outbound operations of rail and land freight at our facility. This role is responsible for coordinating the timely arrival and departure of rail cars, overseeing the cleaning process, and managing a small team dedicated to loading and cleaning rail cars. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Rail Car Management
Coordinate the scheduling and tracking of inbounds and outbounds of the facility.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all regulations related to rail car shipments.
Monitor the status of rail cars and communicate updates to relevant departments.
Check space availability on the rail lines
Molasses Truck Coordination
Oversee the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of molasses trucks.
Ensure timely and efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
Maintain accurate records of all shipments and deliveries.
Rail Car Cleaning
Manage the coordination of rail car cleaning, ensuring compliance with all safety and cleanliness standards.
Oversee the cleaning process, ensuring it is completed on schedule and meets all quality requirements.
Dry and Liquid Land Freight
Assist coordinating documentation of the inbounds and outbounds.
Keep records of returned loads.
Team Management
Supervise a small team responsible for loading and cleaning rail cars.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to all safety protocols
Communication and Coordination
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistical operations.
Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to support a diverse team and client base.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of all logistical activities, including rail car and truck movements, cleaning schedules, and team performance.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably within a rail or trucking environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
Familiarity with rail car cleaning processes and safety regulations is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions:
This position requires time spent in both an office environment and the facility's operational areas.
May require occasional travel to coordinate with suppliers or customers.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
