That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.\n\nRaw Materials Team and why we need you:\nThe Raw Materials team shapes, surprises and engineers delight into Alo Yoga customer experiences by applying new thinking to knowledge generation, product functionality, manufacturing technology and business processes. We need you to bring the capabilities of our new and existing fabric suppliers to life through thoughtful partnership, workflow optimization and expert knowledge, which spans everything from concept through constructing prototypes to bulk production.\n\nA day in the life of a Raw Material R&D Developer:\n\nSupport end-to-end seasonal RM development process that enables and elevates innovation, productivity, efficiency, quality and profitability.\n\nWork with Manager to partner with fabric suppliers to deliver highly innovative fabrics and provide technical support with design, product development, product integrity, and garment vendor partners.\n\nUphold fabric development calendar and adhere to seasonal calendar deadlines.\n\nCoordinate meetings between mills, design & product development as needed to find new fabric qualities and finishing techniques.\n\nComplete input details of digital (PLM) /physical RM libraries\n\nExecute technical validation and approval process for Raw Materials\n\nOwn fabric testing reporting and risk assessments on developments - level set quality, performance attributes and usage expectations to product cross functional team.\n\nFollow new fabric concepts through commercialization approval process.\n\nParticipate in weekly meetings to interact with design to advise on new product development progress.\n\nQualifications and requirements:\n\nYou have 4 years of Fabric R&D/Production experience working closely & building relationships with fabric suppliers and managing a team.\n\nYou are knowledgeable in the apparel manufacturing process as well as with performance fabric testing protocols.\n\nSolid raw material construction knowledge\n\nClear understanding of raw material manufacturing techniques\n\nStrong awareness of raw material trend direction, and research & development avenues.\n\nYou have established strong partnerships with fabric suppliers and are able to navigate difficult situations to drive solutions while maintaining positive relationships.\n\nUnderstanding of AATCC and ASTM industry test methods.\n\nYou have visited mill/fabric facilities & have a keen eye for quality, compliance & process optimization.\n\nStrong ability to lead your area of business and influence decision making with peers and leadership.\n\nYou can multi-task and adapt while maintaining positive working relationship with all cross-functional departments in a fast-paced dynamic environment with colliding and fluctuating deadlines.\n\nYou pay great attention to detail, are highly organized and adhere to deadlines.\n\nExcellent analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills, as well as demonstrated business acumen & excel skills\n\nPro‑active and self‑motivated; comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly evolving business priorities\n\nAbility to communicate verbally and written in a clear, concise, tactful manner.\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed‑upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees.
