We are looking for someone who can not only install fire alarm systems, but also assist with project troubleshooting, programming, final testing, commissioning, and turnover.\nThe right candidate should be comfortable working in the field, reading plans, understanding fire alarm circuits, identifying wiring or device issues, communicating with office staff and customers, and helping bring projects to completion.\nIdeal applicants should have:\n5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, or project work.\nA strong work ethic and a great attitude.\nAn eye for detail and pride in your work.\nThe ability to learn quickly and take direction when needed.\nA technical mind, with the ability to process new information and apply it in the field.\nThe experience and aptitude to manage portions of an installation and assist in final testing of a fire alarm system.\nExperience troubleshooting new construction projects, including open circuits, ground faults, NAC issues, SLC issues, communication issues, panel troubles, and device problems.\nExperience assisting with fire alarm programming, testing, commissioning, and inspection preparation.\nThe ability to read and understand fire alarm drawings, riser diagrams, device layouts, and basic wiring details.\nNICET II, CSA FA2, or greater certifications preferred.\nPreferred applicants have:\nPrevious experience with multiple fire alarm panel types, including AUTOCALL, Simplex, EST, Notifier, Fike, Gamewell/FCI, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite.\nPrevious experience in fire alarm service-related areas, including troubleshooting earth grounds, open circuits, panel troubles, wiring faults, device replacement, and device repair.\nExperience with final testing, pre-testing, AHJ inspections, customer walkthroughs, and project punch lists.\nExperience programming or assisting with programming fire alarm panels, NAC panels, annunciators, power supplies, dialers, communicators, and related system components.\nThe ability to work independently when needed while also coordinating with project managers, foremen, office staff, customers, and other trades.\nStrong communication skills, both internally with office staff and externally with customers.\nApplicants must be able to:\nPass a background check.\nHave a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.\nClimb ladders up to 12 feet, operate lift equipment, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.\nWork in commercial construction environments.\nCommute to job sites throughout the greater Phoenix area.\nEmployment Benefits:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n401(k) with Company Match\nCompetitive hourly wage or salary, based on experience\nPaid Vacation, PTO, and Holidays\nConsistent full-time work\nOpportunity for growth within the company\nWe are looking for a technician who wants to be more than just another installer.
