The company builds “smart” ISO container loading systems for use in freight, emergency preparedness, construction and other applications.\nSummary:\nWorking with engineers and technicians, this position will be responsible for wiring systems and maintaining all documents related to electrical system products and processes. They will also work closely with the quality and production departments to ensure quality and efficiency. The EE Assistant will be tasked with creation, revision, maintenance, and filing of component and assembly drawings; revision, maintenance, and filing of work instructions; working within and developing improvements to our engineering change order system; and creating, revising, and maintaining all raw material specification documents.\nJob description:\nWork as part of a team of engineers, fabricators and assembly technicians\nDesign, fabricate, and integrate electronic systems as part of an integrated technical team\nCreate, edit and interpret electrical diagrams/schematics\nAssemble, test and troubleshoot control systems and/or wiring harnesses\nPerform design, analysis and testing of equipment and systems involving power electronics and electrical systems\nEvaluate and update inventory of control systems and components\nWork with other personnel to ensure integration of work activities and work planning\nWrite operating procedures, recommendations, test procedures and test reports\nDevelop and update documentation and process descriptions\nTroubleshoot and debug existing systems within customer service warranty protocols\nPerform additional assignments including security system maintenance and computer assembly\nSome travel and field work may be required\nAdditional responsibilities may include:\nWork with Engineering, Manufacturing, & Purchasing to provide documentation as needed\nValidate incoming parts per QC standards\nCreate, revise, and finalize drawings in Solid Works\nUpdate & maintain all drawings & documents associated with Engineering Change Orders (ECO)\nFormat, revise, and maintain raw material specifications (RMS)\nRevise & maintain production instructions\nSupport engineers and engineering technicians as needed\nPlan and execute electronics projects, building machines from diagrams\nDraw, update and interpret wiring diagrams\nAssist in the installation of wiring harnesses on QuickLoadz systems\nBuild, repair and quality check microcomputer controller systems\nEssential Skills Required:\nMinimum 2 year degree in engineering. Applicable experience may be substituted for educational requirements at a 2:1 ratio\nExperience using and or administrating SolidWorks or other PDM Systems is a plus\nProficient in MS Office Suite particularly Word and Excel\nExcellent organizational skills\nStrong attention to detail\nExcellent communication skills\nAbility to work well in a team oriented environment\nAbility to stay focused on assignments with minimal supervision\nAbility to work with confidential information & documents\nFamiliarity with machined and molded part design and processing is a plus\nPrevious manufacturing experience is a plus\nPhysical Demands of the Job:\nThe minimum physical requirements needed to perform this job include:\nAbility to stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl under components\nAbility to walk, stand and sit for extended periods\nWork Environment: Exposure to the following environmental conditions may apply.\nWorking in a manufacturing environment\nWorking near moving mechanical parts\nWorking around moderate to loud noise\nThe preceding job description documents the general nature and level of work but is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties and responsibilities required of job incumbents.
