This position is ideal for a skilled welder with experience in pressure vessel and code welding who takes pride in safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail.\nThe successful candidate will perform welding and fabrication work in accordance with applicable ASME requirements, welding procedures, and industry standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform welding on pressure vessels and related components in accordance with ASME Section VIII, AWS, API, ANSI, and applicable industry standards.\nRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometric drawings, and fabrication layouts.\nLay out, fit, and fabricate vessel components and pipe prior to welding and installation.\nInspect welds and workpieces for defects and verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools.\nRepair weld defects and discontinuities identified during visual, UT, X-ray, or other inspections.\nPerform repairs on vessels and tanks that do not meet inspection requirements.\nOperate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.\nPerform thermal cutting using oxy-fuel torches and plasma arc equipment.\nSafely connect and operate oxygen and fuel-gas systems.\nOperate forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts as needed.\nWork from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms when required.\nReport production discrepancies and safety concerns to the shop foreman.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.\nQualifications & Skills\nProven experience welding pressure vessels and code-regulated equipment.\nStrong understanding of ASME Section VIII and applicable welding codes and standards.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometric drawings, and fabrication layouts.\nAbility to identify weld defects and perform necessary repairs.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nPrevious experience operating forklifts, man lifts, or scissor lifts is a plus.\nWeld Test Requirement\nQualified candidates must successfully complete a 6G welding test based on the company's Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).\nThe test will be performed on:\n2.500\" Carbon Steel Pipe\n0.552\" wall thickness\n6G position\nGMAW / FCAW processes\nER70S-6 / E71T-1C\nSuccessful completion of the weld test is required for consideration for the position.\nPay\n$25–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.\nThe appropriate starting rate will be determined based on factors including:\nYears of relevant code welding experience\nPressure vessel and/or ASME fabrication experience\nAbility to read and build from detailed fabrication drawings\nWelding experience with GMAW/FCAW processes\nPrevious experience with code-required inspections and repairs\nPerformance on the required 6G weld test\nOverall skill level and qualifications\nSchedule\nMonday–Friday, generally 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.\nAdditional hours may be required based on production needs.\nWhy Join Us?\nJoin a production team where your welding skills and experience are valued.
