In this role you will get to support the Project Manager on various IT projects that enhance the fabric of our community.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nProvides analytical and IT technical support remotely to end users of Parsons personal computers, workstations and related software and hardware.\n\nAnswers end user IT questions and troubleshoots standard IT issues, questions, problems and failures with Parsons hardware, software, peripherals or workstations, remotely via telephone, email or Instant Messenger.\n\nRecognizes, categorizes and isolates end user questions, issues and problems; either resolves the situation or refers it to more senior Service Desk staff or to other Parsons IT groups.\n\nResearches and develops solutions for standard software and hardware questions, issues, problems and failures.\n\nMaintains a good general knowledge of the MIS environment and the technologies associated with individual computers, workstations, software and associated hardware as well as the Parsons standard workstation configurations.\n\nDocuments and reports all service requests and their outcome, following standard Parsons procedures and practices.\n\nProvides Service Desk on call support for nonbusiness hours (Weekends and Holidays).\n\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related work experience providing support to end users (or an equivalent combination of work experience and education)\n\nA basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications as well as knowledge of personal computer technology and hardware.\n\nFamiliarity of the MIS environment.\n\nAbility for identifying, analyzing and resolving common technical issues, questions and problems with the personal computers, workstations, software and associated hardware.\n\nAbility to write basic documents (may include email or memos)\n\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\n\nAt least one Microsoft or Cisco Certification is preferred.\n\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\n\nNone\n\nThis position is part of our Corporate team.\n\nFor over 80 years, Parsons Corporation, has shaped the future of the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure markets.
