The selected applicant will work as part of an integrated team including system administrators, network engineers, software developers, service desk analysts, and other personnel on-site. The successful candidate will perform in a fast pace environment in the capacity of upgrades/migrations; instance/database hardening and supporting system accreditation activities; application and database troubleshooting; code review to include (evaluating the implications of using stored procedures and constraints to implement business rules), database design/development, optimize performance, recommend and implement process improvement technologies.\nResponsibilities:\nCreate, maintain and execute scheduled jobs, data extracts, data refreshes, data loads and data replication\nManage Application and User Accounts\nDevise implementation plans for tasking\nTest backup strategies and implement database recovery techniques when required\nDocument database actions\nData recovery and space requirements /capacity planning for physical database and the ability to install client/server software and patches\nTroubleshooting database issues and optimize performance experience\nMust be able to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot database replication (transactional and snapshot)\nThe selected candidate should have:\nExperience with Database Servers and Server Migrations.\nExperience with Linked Servers and Aliases.\nExperience with implementing data security and hardening (groups, roles, privileges, authentication, TDE, and auditing).\nExperience in applying DISA STIGs to SQL Server environments to harden databases and maintain continuous security compliance\nFamiliarity with Database Server Integration Services, and Policy Management.\nFamiliarity with both Development and Production environment administration.\nFamiliarity with Monitoring and Performance Dashboards.\nKnowledgeable with Query Optimization.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and human relations skills to interact with clients.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail, and solid documentation skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.\nSalary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $115,000 to $160,000 annually.\nRequirements\nA Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Computer Information Systems, or an IT related field, and three (3) years of database experience is required.\nThe selected applicant must have a DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) or IAT Level III Certification (Security X, CISSP).\nActive DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
