We’re on the lookout for hardworking, high-energy, go-getters who want to grow, make an impact, and be part of something bigger.\nWhat we are proud to offer you:\nMedical/Telemedicine\nDental\nVision\nFlexible Spending Account\n401K\nLife Insurance\nHealth and Wellness Programs\nSick Time\nHoliday Pay\nCarpenter\nJob Purpose: Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures using materials, such as wood, plywood, or steel forms utilizing carpenter’s hand tools and power tools and conforming to plans, specifications, and local, state, and federal building codes.\nRoles, Duties, & Responsibilities:\nReads and understands blue prints, sketches, building plans, and drawings.\nSelects specified dimensional lumber or other material.\nMarks cutting and assembly lines on materials.\nVerifies trueness of structure goals.\nStudies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.\nConstructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.\nErects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures.\nLoads and unloads lumber and other material as required.\nPrepares layout using rule, framing square, and calipers.\nShapes materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and planes.\nAssembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, screws, or glue.\nMay weld metal parts to steel structural members.\nAdheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures and instructions from management.\nPerforms related duties as assigned.\nWork Qualifications:\nWorks within precise standards of accuracy.\nRates information using standards, which can be measured or checked.\nCompares and sees differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.\nLooks at flat drawings or pictures and understands how they would look as solid objects.\nFollows oral and written directions, plans, and blue prints.\nAbility to work without close supervision and be able to adapt to a wide variety of conditions.\nTakes pride in craftsmanship.\nManual dexterity and the ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately are necessary for those who wish to become top craftsmen.\nLearns quickly on the job.\nHas ongoing learning\nApproaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.\nEducation & Work Experience Requirements:\nCompletion of an accredited Carpenter Apprentice Program, OR\nFour (4) + years of prior Carpenter experience.\nWe do E-Verify, Background Checks and Drug Screens\nWomen, Minorities and Veterans are encouraged to apply.\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY statement\nHunter provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
