Quality Supervisor

Job Description Quality SupervisorLocation: Jacksonville, TXPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day quality engineering activities while supervising Quality Technicians and Inspectors. The Quality Supervisor ensures product and process conformity, drives root cause corrective actions, and strengthens overall quality system effectiveness. This position plays a key leadership role in developing the quality team and supporting plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership and Team ManagementSupervise and develop Quality Technicians and InspectorsProvide daily direction, coaching, training, and performance feedbackBuild a strong, accountable, and engaged quality team Product and Process QualityEnsure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and internal specificationsLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances, customer complaints, and audit findingsReview and approve quality documentation including control plans, inspection plans, work instructions, and deviation requestsSupport and drive APQP activities including PFMEA, control plans, and process validation Quality Systems and ComplianceMaintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 preferred)Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findingsMonitor key quality metrics such as PPM, cost of poor quality, scrap, rework, and returnsLead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen processes and reduce defects Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to resolve quality issuesProvide quality support for new product introductions, supplier concerns, and process changesCommunicate quality risks, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field7+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role3+ years of experience leading or supervising teamsStrong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA, control plans, root cause analysis)Experience working within a formal Quality Management System (ISO 9001 preferred)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Preferred QualificationsExperience in HVAC, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing environmentLean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experienceCustomer-facing quality experienceProven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams Growth and DevelopmentThis role offers strong development potential for individuals looking to grow into broader quality leadership responsibilities.
