Responsibilities\n\nFinancial Management & Reporting\n\nOversee and manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department.\nPrepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.\nEnsure the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.\nDevelop, analyze, and interpret accounting and financial information to evaluate organizational performance, profitability, and operational effectiveness.\nEstablish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and financial accuracy.\nPrepare reports that communicate the company's financial position, operating results, and future outlook to executive leadership.\n\nBudgeting, Forecasting & Analysis\n\nCoordinate the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.\nMonitor and report on performance against budget and forecast expectations.\nAnalyze revenue, labor, project costs, financial commitments, and operating trends to identify risks and opportunities.\nDevelop financial models and operational analyses to support business planning and decision-making.\nProvide recommendations related to resource allocation, budgeting strategies, and financial performance improvements.\nAssist with the development, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).\n\nConstruction Financial Oversight\n\nMaintain a strong understanding of construction accounting principles, job costing, and project financial performance.\nPartner with operational leaders to evaluate project profitability and financial outcomes.\nReview contracts, leases, financial commitments, and obligations to assess business and financial impact.\nSupport the analysis of labor productivity, project costs, and operational efficiencies.\n\nLeadership & Strategic Partnership\n\nLead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while promoting a culture of accountability, & Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExpert knowledge leading accounting and finance functions, with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, team development, and supporting executive decision making.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.\nPrevious leadership experience managing accounting teams required.\nExperience in construction or electrical contracting is a plus.\nWhat You'll Get\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\nThe majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.
