Bakery/Deli Specialist - Full Time and Part Time

Join Our Bakery Deli TeamMackenthun's Bakery/Deli Specialists are responsible for performing Bakery/Deli duties according to department standards and processes. Understand and actively support Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by greeting every customer and offering assistance.Bakery/Deli Specialists provide excellent customer service.Take and fill Bakery and Deli orders.Prepare hot and cold deli products and bakery products.Package and label products.Stock shelves and rotate products.Responsible for following safe food handling guidelines, organization of the work area, and clean-up, including proper sanitation in the department.Other duties as assigned.Minimum High School Diploma or GED preferred but not necessary.Previous Bakery and/or Deli experience preferred.MN Food Manager Certification preferred; may be obtained after hire.Be a positive with excellent customer service skills, problem solving, and decision making skills.Honest and dependable.Self-starter, able to work independently and as a team member.Skilled in basic math.Clearly speak, read and write the English language.Minimize department losses due to improper product handling, storage, damage and spoils.Perform duties in a manner that safeguards company equipment, resources and image.Interest in selling food and a desire to learn the characteristics and qualities of the products offered.Standing/walking/hearing and seeing for long periods of time.Frequent bending at the waist, reaching with hands and arms, above shoulders/below waist, crouching/stooping/kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs., pulling or pushing up to 2500 lbs. with use of pallet jack.Requires close/distance/peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision.Baler, Combi Oven, Compactor, Fryer, Fryer Filter, Heavy Lifting, Knives, Ladder, Lift Truck, Ovens, Pallet Jack, Sinks, Slicer, Steam Table, Stove Top, Walk-in Coolers, Walk-in Freezer, Wrapper/Sealer, Dishwasher.
