If you'd like to use your coding powers for good, then you should join our team!\nResponsibilities:\nImplement, test and maintain responsive websites using web development tools.\nCreate, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, user flows and design compositions to effectively communicate interaction ideas.\nCollaborate with others to ensure designs are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards.\nWork collaboratively with Bixal’s project teams and client stakeholders to understand and document their needs, schedules, timelines, etc.\nWork with business users to gather requirements and write functional and technical specifications.\nAdvise and make recommendations to Bixal and client teams to accomplish goals and meet deadlines in an Agile environment.\nParticipate in the estimation and planning of iterative/agile releases.\nWrite clean, well-engineered code that conforms to accepted Drupal standards.\nConduct multiple levels of testing including cross-browser and platform functionality, responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.\nAdvise on the migration of legacy systems to a Drupal 8/9 enterprise architecture.\nAdvise on maintenance and enhancements of Drupal and web architecture.\nEnsure websites meet all Federal regulatory guidance, including 508 and current web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG).\nFacilitate and document troubleshooting of website software applications/configurations.\nInteract with team to gather, define and analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy business needs.\nRecognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.\nProvide technical leadership on small to medium-sized, well-defined projects.\nDemonstrate thought leadership for internal teams and the community.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree.\n5+ years of demonstrated experience in web design and development including mobile and responsive design.\nAbility to undergo and pass a government clearance.\nProficiency in writing quality HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for a variety of content management systems and frameworks.\nExperience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operation support.\nExperience with Agile Software Development Methodology.\nExperience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.\nStrong proficiency in developing/implementing content in Drupal core modules, contributed modules, custom modules, views, panels, blocks, templates, etc.\nExperience with Developer/Build tools.\nFirm understanding of component-based design and development including Pattern Lab and BEM.\nWell-rounded knowledge of GIT version control and tools.\nAbility to come up to speed on new technologies and ideas quickly and independently.\nWorking knowledge and hands-on experience with current technologies and web development tools, including Web Design Systems, JavaScript Frameworks, PHP and PHP Templating, API, Web Services, HTTPS, JSON, YAML, Twig, and XML.\nAdvanced knowledge of usability/accessibility standards in order to produce code compliant for Section 508 accessibility (may have access to development tools that aid in this process).\n\nNice to Haves:\nExperience with React, single page applications and static site generators\nFamiliarity with United States Web Design System (USWDS)\n$120,000 - $125,000 a year\nPerks & Benefits:\nCompetitive base salary\nFlex hours\nWork from home flexibility\n401K with matching incentive\nParental Leave\nMedical/dental/vision benefits\nFlex Spending Account\nCompany provided short-term disability\nCompany provided life insurance\nCommuter benefits\nGenerous PTO\n11 Paid holidays\nProfessional development opportunities\nNew business referral bonus\n\nPlease note that candidates selected may undergo a background investigation and, if applicable, meet eligibility requirements for suitability.\n\nBixal is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
