Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a DSCR Underwriter located in New York, NY. The DSCR Underwriter will assess and evaluate debt service coverage ratio (DSCR) loan applications, analyze financial and credit data, verify borrower qualifications, and ensure compliance with internal lending guidelines and industry standards. This role requires close communication with brokers, developers, and clients to provide timely underwriting decisions. The underwriter will also work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless and efficient loan processing. Qualifications Strong understanding of DSCR and Non-QM financing, including underwriting guidelines and risk assessmentProficiency in financial statement analysis and evaluating borrower qualificationsExcellent attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing loan applications and documentationStrong communication and relationship-building skills for working with brokers, developers, and internal teamsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentProficiency with underwriting software and relevant financial tools is a plusBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferredPrior experience in DSCR, Non-QM, or real estate lending is highly desirable
