Your primary job functions will include:\nLeading hardware design development for distributed control systems (DCS).\nDriving projects throughout their entire lifecycle from proposal through delivered system.\nActing as a subject matter expert on projects and shaping ACE's design best practices.\nDeveloping standards that improve quality, productivity, and consistency.\nTraveling to customer sites and panel shops for acceptance testing.\nMentoring junior design engineers and expanding your own technical depth.\n\nThe successful applicant will be an effective technical contributor who thrives in a fast paced work setting. ACE is managed and owned by engineers who have all worked as process control system engineers at ACE.\n\nPREFERRED EDUCATION\nBachelors (or higher) degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.\n\nAlternatively, equivalent experience to establish an understanding of the knowledge and concepts consistent with attaining a bachelor's.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nFive (5) years of experience with control system electrical design in manufacturing industries.\nExperience designing control panels, PLC/DCS control systems, remote IO, industrial networks, low voltage motor controls, VFDs, e-stop circuitry, and hardware related to industrial control systems.\nProficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar engineering design packages.\nWorking understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and control networking technologies.\nUnderstanding of process control or other manufacturing processes.\nAbility to handle a project through its entire lifecycle.\nStrong written and oral communication skills that allow you to communicate complicated concepts both internally and externally.\nKnowledge of business application software (MS Office package).\nDisplays a positive and professional demeanor.\nDemonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style.\nWilling to work off-hours when required.\nMust possess a valid driver’s license.\nWilling to submit to drug testing and/or background checks as mandated for a) employment, and b) customer contract requirements.\n\nApplied Control Engineering, Inc.
