This position is reserved for Machine Technicians at the entry level. Also, responsible for enhancing the department’s safety, quality and productivity as well as assisting Facilitator as required.\n\nThis position will be responsible for knowing and implementing all area specific compliance issues, including safety, quality, environmental, and MT/plant policies. This position will contribute to team efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects as required. This position will also require working with maintenance to complete monthly PM’s.\n\nOff Shift Hours:\n\n2nd shift: 3:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. or 3rd shift: 11:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nAdhere to all safety requirements in the work area.\n\nHousekeeping- follow all housekeeping policies and schedules.\n\nUnderstand and demonstrate how to use all gauges in the cell.\n\nUnderstand tolerances and how to make offsets on the machine to stay in spec.\n\nUtilize quality tools in the cell ie SPC, OEE, etc.\n\nOperate a minimum of one machine in the department efficiently (85% or better).\n\nPerform set up (change overs) following procedures in a timely manner.\n\nTroubleshoot equipment, including automated operations, controls, and sensors.\n\nAssist maintenance department in preventative maintenance responsibilities. Participate in updates of preventative maintenance schedules.\n\nComplete routine equipment and product inspections and complete required documentation.\n\nTroubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs. Provide feedback to Maintenance and Supervisor as needed.\n\nInform the Supervisor or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention.\n\nRecommend and participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity, and quality, especially those related to corrective actions.\n\nComplete other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor, including working other shifts as necessary.\n\nAdhere to 5S in the department.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nMust demonstrate good written and oral communication skills\n\nAble to interpret technical data, including drawings and OMS.\n\nMust be proficient in the use of common inspection and test equipment.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills required.\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\n\nHigh School or GED diploma required.\n\nTechnical Certification in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation preferred.\n\nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or technical field at MT or similar employer.\n\nMilwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.\n\nCategories\nMilwaukee Tool\nAbout Us\nMilwaukee Tool, founded in 1924, is a global leader in delivering innovative solutions to the professional construction trades that increase productivity and safety.
