We offer you the opportunity to grow in an environment where you will feel valued, have room for advancement, and be rewarded for your good work.\n\nWe are currently looking for a Construction Superintendent to join our team in Henrico, VA!\n\nWhat are the responsibilities of the Construction Superintendent?\n\nResponsible for the overall day-to-day supervision of field related construction activities, while working at a multi-family project\n\nMust have extensive experience with 3-story, wood frame construction, hospitality level finishes, and multi-family facilities\n\nPlanning, managing, coordinating and supervising the construction process from initial development of land through final acceptance of buildings, on a timely and economic basis\n\nOriginate and maintain schedules for all trades, with assistance from Project Manager, and be responsible for the contractor’s adherence thereto\n\nHold contractor’s accountable for their performance through straight-forward communications, relating their performance to payment for their services\n\nGiven designs, permits, and construction trade contracts, implementation of managerial oversight, company policies, industry standards, with the construction plans and contracts into a quality product built for longevity.\n\nDirectly inspect each trade's work and approval of their invoicing according to contract payment terms\n\nManage subordinate staff, oversee the quality of construction, and ensure safety on the job site\n\nFacilitate weekly subcontractor meetings for planning, scheduling, quality control and safety issues with any scheduled trades.\n\nWhat are the role requirements?\n\nThe ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in the construction industry\n\nAbility to effectively and professionally communicate and supervise a diverse group of individuals.\n\nMust be an energetic, self-starter with a solid work ethic.\n\nAttentive to details on both plans and contracts.\n\nAbility to review and interpret the plans specifications and contracts as they relate to each individual trade involved in the construction of the project.\n\nAbility to implement the means and methods of construction associated with 3-story, wood frame construction, along with the function and purpose of the final product.\n\nKnowledge of and ability to follow and enforce OSHA guidelines.\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\n\nComprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with company match\n\nOn the job training and development\n\nGenerous paid time off programs\n\nCompetitive compensation plan with bonus opportunities\n\nGreat work environment\n\nOpportunities for advancement\n\nDiscounted apartment home\n\nGrow a Career with Edward Rose & Sons!\nEdward Rose & Sons is committed to career development for our team.
