This role focuses specifically on the integration layer, including service operations, queues, routings, transformations, security configurations, and error handling. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on Integration Broker experience with broader PeopleTools knowledge and a strong understanding of API and integration design patterns. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDesign and develop integration scenarios using PeopleSoft Integration Broker, including service operations, queues, routings, and handlers.\r\nBuild synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST and SOAP web services.\r\nDevelop transformations using XSLT, Application Engine, and PeopleCode handlers, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards.\r\nConfigure security on inbound and outbound services, including WS-Security, OAuth2, and certificate-based authentication.\r\nBuild robust error-handling and retry mechanisms, including notifications, monitoring, and resubmission workflows.\r\nDevelop Component Interfaces and File Layouts to support hybrid integration scenarios.\r\nLead migration efforts to retire legacy point-to-point integrations to standardized Integration Broker patterns, planning phased cutovers, building backward-compatibility shims where needed, and ensuring each migration step is reversible and well-monitored.\r\nOptimize performance of high-volume integrations through queue tuning, parallel processing, and asynchronous design.\r\nIntegrate PeopleSoft with cloud applications (Oracle Cloud, Workday, ServiceNow) and middleware (OIC, MuleSoft, Boomi).\r\nMaintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers over time.\r\nProvide hypercare and post-go-live support, including incident response and root-cause analysis.\r\nCollaborate closely with functional consultants and integration architects, gathering requirements, aligning on technical approach, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet both functional needs and broader engineering and operational standards.\r\nMentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing, helping the broader team grow in technical maturity and confidence over time.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\r\nFive or more years of PeopleSoft development experience, with a strong focus on Integration Broker.\r\nHands-on experience designing and developing REST and SOAP web services in PeopleSoft.\r\nSolid PeopleCode and Application Engine experience.\r\nWorking knowledge of XML, XSLT, and JSON.\r\nExperience with web service security standards (WS-Security, OAuth2).\r\nStrong SQL skills and experience with the PeopleSoft data model.\r\nFamiliarity with middleware platforms (OIC, MuleSoft, Boomi) is a strong plus.\r\nExcellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.\r\nExperience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades and patches.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nPeopleSoft certifications.\r\nExperience integrating with Oracle Cloud Applications.\r\nExposure to event-driven integration patterns.\r\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tooling for PeopleSoft.\r\nStrong understanding of API management concepts.\r\nHow to Apply\r\nWould you like to know more about this opportunity?
