The role focuses on translating engineering drawings into efficient CNC programs using CAM software, ensuring parts meet dimensional and surface quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement of machining processes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProgram and edit CNC programs for mills and lathes using CAM software and machine controls.\nSet up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces; perform first-article setups and run production batches.\nOperate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce parts to print tolerances and surface finish requirements.\nVerify dimensions and quality using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM when applicable) and document inspection results.\nTroubleshoot machining issues, optimize tool paths and cutting parameters to improve cycle time and part quality.\nMaintain machine housekeeping and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe, reliable equipment operation.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions; communicate effectively with engineers and production teams.\nFollow safety procedures and promote continuous improvement by suggesting process, tooling, or program enhancements.\n\nQualifications\n\n2+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes (or equivalent vocational training).\nProficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX) for generating and editing CNC programs.\nStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies for both milling and turning.\nAbility to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet specifications.\nExperience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) and basic familiarity with CMMs preferred.\nGood troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.\nHigh school diploma or technical certificate in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, work extended shifts if required, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
