For further information about this position please apply.Desired Skills and ExperienceSr Electrical Test EngineerLocation: San Jose, CADuration: 12 Month Contract with Opportunity for Conversion/ExtensionRole Offers: health, dental, vision benefits & 401K enrollment optionsVacation Time: eligible to accrue up to 2 weeks of PTO annuallyHolidays: 9 paid holidays Hands‑On Design ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is a strong, hands‑on engineer with experience across the full design lifecycle, including: · System-level design · Test fixture design and development · Rapid prototyping and iteration · General mechanical/electromechanical design workThis includes: · Designing custom test fixtures (e.g., joint hold or motion‑related assemblies) · Creating any mechanical or electromechanical fixture required for testing or validation · Executing the full design process: o Requirements definition o Concept development o Prototyping and refinement o Delivery of final test solutions to end usersTest Engineering Expectations · Take an existing test fixture and improve it-mechanically, electrically, or in software. · Work with electronics and embedded systems as part of test solution development. · Optimize test processes, such as: o Reducing test cycle time o Increasing efficiency, reliability, or automation · Develop or update test scripts that interface with motor drivers: o Commanding motors during test o Capturing essential motor signals for analysis o Ensuring accurate data acquisition for performance evaluationOverall project need:· Continuous improvement of all test fixtures used to validate electromechanical systems.
