The EBSOD Data and Integrations team delivers and supports the enterprise data platform, data warehouse, data integrations, and APIs that enable mission-critical business reports, analytics, and system integrations.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nThe Data and Integration Group Lead/Principal will lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise business system data warehousing and data integration initiatives to modernize (scalable, extensible, reliable, and secure) the organization's data platform to enable reporting and analytics and data integration/exchanges in support of corporate activity. In addition, they will manage the team responsible for designing, building, and supporting modern data pipelines, data warehouses, and integration services while driving cloud adoption, automation, and engineering best practices – to include hands on development, guidance, and day-to-day direction.\nAreas of Responsibility:\nDefine and execute the roadmap for a modern enterprise data warehouse and data integrations in support of MITRE and Finance vision and strategy.\nLead the migration from legacy data platforms to modern, cloud-based data architectures, with minimal business disruption.\nDirect and oversee the daily design, development, security, and operations of scalable, extensible data warehouses, data lakes, and data integration solutions.\nProvide day-to-day leadership for the data warehouse team, establishing priorities, removing delivery obstacles, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality execution of strategic and operational initiatives – to include hands on delivery.\nEstablish and enforce architectural vision and standards, governance, and best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.\nDrive adoption of modern data engineering technologies, including cloud-native services, automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).\nPartner with business leaders, application teams, Business Analytics, HR, and Enterprise Technology to translate business requirements into data solutions.\nEnsure data platforms meet performance, reliability, security, compliance, and availability requirements.\nOversee vendor relationships, technology evaluations, and implementation of new tools and platforms supporting the enterprise data ecosystem.\nPromote Agile delivery practices, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous improvement throughout the data engineering lifecycle.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure secure data handling, privacy, and regulatory compliance.\nChampion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to enhance organizational data capabilities.\nPresent architectural strategies, modernization progress, risks, and investment recommendations to executive leadership.\nLeadership:\nFoster a collaborative, customer-focused, and innovation-driven engineering experience in data engineering, data warehousing, software engineering, data integration, and/or enterprise data architecture.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience leading technical teams responsible for enterprise data platforms, software engineering, and/or data engineering.\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.\nExperience leading modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy data platforms to cloud-based data architectures.\nExperience with modern cloud data platforms and services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).\nProficiency with SQL, Python, and PySpark, Apache Spark, and relational database management systems.\nExperience with data modeling, metadata management, data governance, and data quality best practices.\nExperience with Agile software development methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and automated testing.\nDemonstrated experience in software reuse principles supporting delivery efficiency and security.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving business stakeholders, application development teams, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and analytics organizations.\nExperience managing technology vendors, evaluating enterprise software solutions, and supporting technology investment decisions.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise environment.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with demonstrated experience communicating technical strategies and recommendations to senior leadership.\nAbility to recruit, mentor, develop, and lead high-performing technical teams while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any required security clearance, if applicable.\nThis position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale data warehouse and/or
