Join our mining processing team as a Junior Metallurgist responsible for QA/QC, process monitoring, and technical support to optimize milling performanceJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Junior Metallurgist for a mine operation in the Northeast United States. The role focuses on quality assurance and process optimization across milling and lab operations, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, testing, and continuous improvement. Relocation assistance is available; sponsorship for work visas is not offered for this positionLocationNortheast United States - within a few hours' drive of regional recreation and outdoor attractionsResponsibilitiesManage quality assurance/quality control for the assay laboratory and mill operationsMonitor the milling process to maintain or increase productionIdentify and troubleshoot issues in the production processProvide technical assistance to operators, millwrights, and laboratory techniciansRun tests on new ore bodies and chemicals to optimize recoveriesMaintain assay laboratory chemical inventoryDesign and supervise plant sampling surveys; analyze data and make recommendations based on engineering principlesCompile daily metallurgical reportsMaintain current knowledge of industry practices and technological developmentsComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conductExercise discretion and judgment in job performanceOther reasonable duties as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical EngineeringUnderstanding of mineral processing techniques such as flotation, gravity separation, and magnetic separationProficient in interpreting data and performance metrics3 years of hands-on experienceStrong written and verbal communication in English, critical thinking, and data analysis skillsBenefitsRelocation assistance providedEligibility for relocation supportSalary: $61,000 - $90,000About UsCelestrix is a business consulting and advisory practice built for organizations that think beyond the ordinary.
