Manual Machinist with CNC Experience

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist with CNC Experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machines and CNC equipment to produce high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual machining as well as the ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery. Attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts to specifications. Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) to produce precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine machining operations. Select appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for each project. Measure and inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance on manual and CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and adjust machinery settings to resolve machining issues and improve quality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Keep detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a manual machinist. Experience with CNC programming and operation (G-code knowledge is a plus). Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability and desire to mentor junior machinists. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
