This position assists the dentist or dental hygienist during examinations and treatment of patients.\r\nREPORTING RELATIONSHIPS\r\nThe position reports to the Director of Dental Operations. No staff report to this position.\r\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS\r\nWhile living and demonstrating our Core Values, the Expanded Function Dental Assistant will:\r\n\r\nPrepare patient, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials and assist dentist and dental hygienist during dental procedures\r\nTake and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patient\r\nExpose dental diagnostic x-rays, Mount and Label Radiographs\r\nMake preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
