is hiring for an immediate opening for a preschool teacher with experience teaching . We are looking for a silly, smiley and extremely loving teacher to join the YJNP family. If you are passionate about children and their educational success, please apply.
This teacher must have full confidence in their ability to prepare children for Kindergarten. Our goal is to have our students leaving our program excelling among their peers. This is a role for someone interested in functioning as an educator as opposed to solely a child care provider. We create weekly lesson plans and perform periodic evaluations to ensure that our children are on track for Kindergarten. More than anything, we value the relationships with families. It is important to build connections with the families and children and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Enthusiasm is a must for this position.
We are searching for someone who is:
Passionate about children's intellectual and emotional well-being
Educated with regard to development in preschool aged children and has the ability to produce meaningful and effective lesson plans
Extremely neat and organized with excellent communication skills
Is friendly and interactive to build positive rapport with families and staff
The teacher must be patient and exude confidence in their abilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create a fun and positive classroom for learning and exploration
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
Create inspiring and age appropriate lesson plans to advance children’s physical and intellectual competence
Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
Establish positive and effective family relations
Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
Maintain professional commitment
Requirements:
MDSE Qualified 45 Hour Child Development-45 Hour Preschool Curriculum
One year of teaching experience
Ability to manage a classroom of 10 preschool students
General Qualifications
Teachers must meet the qualifications set forth in the National Standards for hiring (see www.bls.gov), including the following:
Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations'
