HVAC Maintenance Technician
Position: HVAC/ Maintenance Technician (EPA 608 Universal Certification )
Schedule: 8am-4:30pm M-F, rotating on-call schedule
Pay: Starting at $34.00-$40.00 / hour, depending on experience and certification

General Summary :
HVAC/Maintenance Technician oversees all Community HVAC units, along with performing general maintenance in spare time. Meet with residents to inspect their current equipment, identify problems with their units, and perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance. When required, you will install new systems and ensure they are running smoothly. Timely responses to work orders and completion documentation is imperative.
Essential Job Duties :
Identify customer’s needs.
Determine customer concerns with their current HVAC system.
Installing, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems, and equipment and performing warranty services.
Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
Managing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Accurately time and document parts and repairs needed on each workorder.
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
Participate in technical training.
Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.
Complete routine maintenance Work Orders in spare time to keep que-times low in work-order system.
Other Duties :
Assists other maintenance staff at work site by performing routing maintenance related tasks are directed.
Performs assigned routine preventative maintenance on all building equipment
Assists with event set-up as directed.
Assists with all ground functions including but not limited to snow removal and landscape additions.
Provide support to security by picking up open shifts.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or suitable equivalent
Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program
Current HVAC/ EPA 608 Universal Certification
Familiar with commercial-sized HVAC systems
Knowledge of general/residential maintenance
Reliable and self-motivated
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
Working knowledge of boiler systems
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
