A better future?\n\nCONTROLS ENGINEER (7pm-4am)\nTUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA\nAs a member of the Engineering team, the Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing program changes to reduce machine downtime and improve system efficiency. The Controls Engineer will be challenged to maintain multiple machinery systems in a JIT / complex assembly plant environment. In this role, you support department and plant goals as established, participate in continuous improvement activities and the high performing work team model.\n\nThe Role:\nYour work will include, but not be limited to:\n\nDeveloping and implementing software and hardware changes to improve efficiency and quality.\n\nTroubleshooting and programming of PLCs to resolve problems, improve efficiency and quality.\n\nContact and coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers.\n\nWork with other departments to ensure optimal performance of production line.\n\nMaintaining accurate records of part specific parameters and changes; including requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.\n\nSetting up and maintaining adequate parts and supplies to minimize production downtime.\n\nMaintaining accurate records of machines and other assets with regards to repair, drawings, diagrams and manuals and preventive maintenance program.\n\nAssist in launch programs as necessary, proper housekeeping of area, and following ISO 14001 & IATF16949 procedures and processes.\n\nAdvantages of working at Lear in the Engineering group:\n\nDevelop professional skills and expertise through innovation and inspiration.
