Building on foundational experience, the Engineer applies electrical engineering principles with increasing independence, contributes to design solutions, and collaborates across teams to deliver high-quality precision fluid dispensing and metering systems. This role develops deeper expertise in IVEK products and industry standards, while beginning to take ownership of defined project deliverables.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nGeneral (Engineer):\nConduct experiments, analyze data, and support validation of product performance.\nCollaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to solve problems and ensure product quality.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design, processes, and tools.\nParticipate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions.\nSupport customer and supplier interactions, including occasional travel for problem-solving or installations.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements (IEC/EN/UL 61010-1, RoHS, ISO 9000/13485). Provide guidance to Associate Engineers or interns on technical tasks as appropriate.\nAdheres to IVEK policies and procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSpecific (Electrical Engineer):\nUse development (CAD) tools, testing tools, and modeling software to design and test electronical systems, electronic circuits, PCBs, wiring harnesses, and cables.\nCreate test scripts for hardware verification with minimal supervision.\nParticipate in the design, analysis, and verification/validation of electronic circuits used in embedded systems.\nCreate and review electrical engineering documentation and drawings in compliance with IVEK processes and guidelines.\nCollaborate with embedded systems engineers and mechanical engineers during product development.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.\n2–5 years of relevant engineering experience (co-op/internship experience or advanced degree may be considered).\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nGeneral (Engineer):\nExpanding knowledge of IVEK products, processes, and applications.\nReads and applies relevant publications, standards, and regulatory materials.\nApplies fundamental engineering principles with minimal supervision.\nWorks collaboratively across functions, with the ability to coordinate small tasks or subprojects.\nEngages in technical discussions and begins contributing solutions, not just data.\nDemonstrates growing independence while seeking guidance on complex challenges.\nAccountable for assigned work and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.\nCommunicates clearly in written reports, presentations, and technical documentation.\nBegins to interact directly with customers or suppliers on technical matters.\nShows initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.\nStrong computer skills are required.\nSpecific (Electrical):\nProficient in electronic design fundamentals (analog circuits, digital logic, signal integrity, sensors, motor control, power).\nProficient with Electronic CAD tools; especially Siemens PADs and/or KiCAD.\nAbility to generate complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and design documentation, and test plans.\nAbility to either design PCBs and relevant documentation, or provide engineering guidance to a PCB designer.\nAbility to analyze and simulate electronic circuits using tools such as SPICE for proper functionality.\nProficient in working with vendors to choose electronic components.\nProficient in working with contract manufacturers to consider DFM and guide procurement of PCB assemblies.\nAbility to read and understand international regulations and specifications (e.g., IEC 61010-1) and apply to electrical systems.\nAbility to work with test labs for regulatory (e.g., NRTL/CE) certification and EMC compliance.\nAbility to use common software and hardware tools used to test and troubleshoot embedded systems: debuggers, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.\nExperience with electronic specifications of basic communication protocols such as: RS232, I2C, SPI. Familiarity with electronic specifications of more advanced communication protocols such as: CAN, USB, Ethernet, HTTP, FTP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, OPC-UA.\nFamiliarity with using software (e.g., Python, Visual Basic, C#, etc.) to automate testing of embedded systems.\nFamiliarity with embedded software and able to contribute to design reviews of embedded systems.\nAbility to work with embedded software engineers to choose proper control architecture and components of embedded systems.\nFamiliarity with different product development life cycle models and their trade-offs (e.g., Waterfall, Agile PDLC, Stage-Gate, etc.).\nWillingness to learn and utilize PLC components in both in-house test fixtures and customer products.\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance- Minimal waiting period.
