This is a hybrid development and engineering role: you will own projects from raw land through site control, interconnection, and permitting, while providing the electrical engineering judgment needed to make those decisions correctly.\n\nPrior experience carrying a project across more than one of these workstreams is more valuable to us than depth in only one.\n\n*Salary and Benefit *\n\nStarting with 60k+ Project Bonus and Annual Bonus\n\n· (401) k\n\n· Health Insurance\n\n· Paid off Holidays\n\n· Dental Insurance\n\n*Key ResponsibilitiesInterconnection*\n\n* Manage generation interconnection from screening through agreement: ERCOT GINR submittals via RIOO-IS, Interconnection Request (INR), Security Screening Study (SSS), Full Interconnection Study (FIS), and Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA).\n* Evaluate POI alternatives and transmission capacity, coordinate with the lead transmission service provider (TSP) through kickoff, facilities study, and interconnection facility scoping.\n* Support large load interconnection where a co-located load is contemplated, including the applicable ERCOT batch process, private use network options, and the associated transmission screening study requirements.\n* Confirm CCN and distribution service territory for construction power and station service, and negotiate crossing, easement, and service agreements with the incumbent utility or cooperative.\n* Assemble the technical package that supports study milestones, including site control evidence, one-line diagrams, coordinates and site layout, equipment datasheets, and the PSS/E and PSCAD models supplied by OEMs and consultants.\n\n*Permitting & Regulatory*\n\n* Build and execute the project permit matrix across federal, state, county, and local jurisdictions, and own the schedule for the items on the critical path.\n* Manage TCEQ matters including Central Registry / Regulated Entity registration, air permitting pathways for co-located thermal generation (standard permit versus Chapter 116 case-by-case NSR and PSD, BACT analysis, dispersion modeling, and Title V), and Construction General Permit and SWPPP compliance.\n* Coordinate USACE Section 404 jurisdictional determinations, floodplain development permits, USFWS and habitat screening, FAA and other clearance filings as applicable.\n* Manage county-level items: confirmation of unincorporated / no-zoning status, road use and maintenance agreements, 911 address assignment, driveway and culvert permits, and Commissioners Court interaction.\n* Support economic development work such as Chapter 312 abatements and state incentive applications.\n\n*Electrical Engineering & Technical Support*\n\n* Provide engineering-of-record level judgment on utility-scale PV, BESS, and balance-of-plant design, including collection system, medium-voltage and high-voltage layout, gen-tie, generation interconnection facility (GIF) and substation scope, grounding, lighting, raceway, and life safety systems.\n* Review and direct protection and control design, including scheme development, setting calculations, and relay file coordination with the TSP.\n* Perform or direct power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, coordination, reactive capability, model validation) using ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or PSCAD.\n* Develop and review site layouts and energy production estimates using PVsyst, Helioscope, SAM, PVcase, or equivalent, and reconcile them against buildable area constraints from survey and diligence.\n* Prepare and issue technical specifications, equipment procurement documents, and scopes of work; conduct QA/QC on the work of other engineers, designers, and outside consultants.\n\n*Vendor, Consultant & EPC Management*\n\n* Prepare and issue RFQ and RFP packages for EPC, engineering, survey, environmental, geotechnical, and permitting consultants; level bids on both price and scope, and negotiate scope, fee, and schedule.\n* Manage consultant deliverables to milestone dates, review technical work product, and hold vendors to the schedule the project depends on.\n* Assemble and control design packages issued to internal and external design teams, including project overview, reference single-line diagrams, equipment datasheets, survey, and environmental reports.\n\n*Project Management & Reporting*\n\n* Maintain the master development schedule and critical path across land, interconnection, permitting, and engineering, and identify where one workstream is gating another.\n* Prepare decision memos and status reporting for executive leadership, clearly separating what is known, what is pending, and what requires a decision.\n* Track development budget and diligence spend, and support financing, tax equity, and offtake diligence requests.\n* Coordinate work sessions, project meetings, and site reviews with counterparties and other disciplines; provide construction contract administration support as needed.\n* Mentor junior staff, support client relationship development, and contribute to proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structures.\n* Perform other duties as needed.\n\n*Required Qualifications*\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n* Experience executing projects in the power market sector, with exposure to both development-stage and design-stage work.\n* Working knowledge of three-phase power systems, protection and control, system grounding, and physical design.\n* Demonstrated ability to manage third parties such as attorneys, consultants, contractors, or agencies against deadlines, and to keep multiple workstreams moving in parallel.\n* Strong written communication;
