Develops and evaluates manufacturing methods to eliminate waste, improve safety, enhance performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Provides support in resolving technical problems. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements & workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Responsible for planning and design of fixturing and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Project manager for capital projects. Coordinate with contractors and internal workforce to oversee the project through completion. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arranges for purchase of equipment, materials or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Responsible for generating capital justifications, including ROI percent calculations and Rate of Return. Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Assist HSE manager when needed to evaluate environmental issues and determines optimum solutions for related concerns and hazardous waste disposal. Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
