U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.\nPosition Overview Raytheon’s Naval Airborne Systems (NAS) seeks an Algorithm Systems Engineer II to provide technical algorithm support and analysis to several programs or Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts on the family of Advanced Sensor Programs. The role will reside in the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center within the Airborne Surveillance RF department, working alongside other Systems Engineers and supporting the chief engineer and lead systems engineer.\nResponsibilities Perform performance analysis, algorithm development, and algorithm analysis.\nGenerate trade studies, statistical modeling, performance predictions, and data analysis for complex systems.\nParticipate in peer reviews and resolve identified technical problems.\nInterface with team lead, team members, and other engineers on a daily basis.\nConduct or participate in customer and/or program presentations, providing task progress status updates and work products.\nQualifications Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.\nExperience in signal processing algorithms or models, image processing algorithms or models, detection theory or machine learning.\nProficiency with UNIX/Linux, C or C++ programming, MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis.\nExperience obtained through work, research, coursework, or projects.\nPreferred Qualifications Majors: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.\nStrong mathematical modeling and problem‑solving abilities.\nExperience developing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques.\nExperience with real‑time programming, software change management tools and processes.\nCurrent Department of War Secret or Top Secret clearance.\nSecurity Clearance U.S. citizenship required.
