Working closely with design, systems engineering and marketing teams, and with business leaders and suppliers, their technology investigations and strategic analysis influence the development of unique products and partnerships.\nJoin us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Technical Staff on our Technical Leadership Team in Hopkinton/Austin.\nWhat you’ll achieve\nWe are seeking a Technical Staff- (I10) to lead the architecture, reliability, and modernization of our enterprise ALM and DevOps tool ecosystem, including Jira/Confluence, qTest, GitHub Enterprise & GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kafka, SonarQube, and Coverity.\nThis role defines the technical direction, reliability posture, HA strategy, and operational excellence standards for tools supporting thousands of engineers globally.\nYou will:\nArchitecture & Resilience\nDefine and evolve HA, DR, and scaling architectures across all ALM tools\nBuild topology-aware designs and continuously measure and improve platform scalability, performance, and resilience\nEstablish cross-tool patterns for identity, observability, RBAC/entitlements, and secure-by-default deployments\nEnsure all tool services meet strict requirements for availability, reliability, and stability\nUptime, SLOs & Applied Observability\nDefine and drive SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and operational KPIs for every tool\nImplement applied observability: actionable metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards tailored to each platform\nLead root-cause analysis, incident management, and continuous reduction in MTTD/MTTR\nIdentity, Security & SRO\nArchitect Okta integrations across tools: SAML/OIDC/SCIM, entitlement frameworks, group/role mapping, and auditability\nEnsure compliance with SRO/Security controls: hardening, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness\nDrive the HVA program uplift for tools: threat modeling, compensating controls, and DR testing\nParticipate in PQC-readiness assessments and roadmap planning\nPlatform Engineering & Automation\nLead automation of infrastructure, upgrades, backup/restore, and operational workflows using Terraform, Ansible, GitOps and tooling APIs\nCreate repeatable, consistent patterns for build pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and artifact governance (Artifactory)\nWork directly with SMEs and Engineering teams to standardize CI/CD, improve reliability, and reduce operational toil\nCross-Org Technical Leadership\nInfluence architecture and platform decisions across Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams\nMentor Architects, Principals, and Staff Engineers; create reference architectures and operational best practices\nPartner with vendors and internal teams to evolve capabilities and ensure long-term platform health\nTake the first step towards your dream career\nEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.
