Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to research and develop prototypes, assess technical feasibility, and transition innovative solutions into future products and systems. Provides technical leadership in concept development of high-speed data acquisition and processing, system architecture, and technology integration efforts.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nResearch, evaluate, and develop emerging technologies in FPGA, ASIC, CPU, and related computing architectures to support future technology and product roadmaps.\nGenerate and mature innovative technology concepts from ideation through proof-of-concept, prototype development, testing, and validation.\nDesign, implement, and optimize FPGA-based and embedded hardware solutions to demonstrate technical feasibility and performance.\nConduct technology assessments, trade studies, and feasibility analyses to identify and recommend solutions for complex engineering challenges.\nDevelop and execute experiments, data acquisition activities, and signal processing analyses to validate technology performance and readiness.\nApply systems engineering principles to integrate advanced technologies into broader system architectures and future product platforms.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to advance technology development, resolve technical issues, and achieve program objectives.\nAnalyze technical data, identify risks, and develop innovative solutions that improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.\nPrepare and present technical documentation, reports, design reviews, and recommendations to communicate project status and research findings.\nSupport the transition of validated technologies into product development programs while maintaining awareness of emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices.\n\nSkills/Abilities\nMaster's degree in electrical and computer engineering.\n5+ years of experience in engineering and research of FPGA, ASIC, CPU or related development.\nStrong programming skills, knowledge of FPGA\nExperience developing technology concepts from ideation through prototype development and validation.\nStrong understanding of systems engineering principles and technology integration.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExperience evaluating technology solutions and transitioning concepts into product development.\nKnowledge of data acquisition systems, signal processing.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.\n\nNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
