Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Payroll Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting is responsible for supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role performs payroll activities across the end-to-end pay cycle, and helps ensure payroll data integrity, strong controls, and a positive client experience.Job Duties Collects, compiles, and enters payroll data using appropriate software Updates payroll records by entering changes including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases Processes payroll by established deadlines Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks Communicates significant client issues to supervisor Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOther duties as required N/A Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesEducation High School Diploma, required Experience 1-3 years of payroll experience preferred 2+ years of customer service experience required Experience working with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations preferred License(s)/Certification(s) N/A Software Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word required Language(s) N/A Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and basic research skills Strong data- entry skills Must be detail oriented Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients About UsJoin us at BDO, where you will find more than a career, you’ll find a place where your work is impactful, and you are valued for your individuality.
