A key CSU capability is live collection of communications and detailed analysis of data and records to advance criminal investigations.\n\nUSPIS requires specialized personnel who can leverage modern communications environments to support criminal investigations against suspects who aim to do harm to the Postal Service, Postal employees, and Postal customers. The CSU specifically needs advanced analytical support to identify, track, and dismantle criminal networks utilizing the U.S. Mail to facilitate illicit activities, relying on Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Network Development (NetDev), and geospatial analysis in support of field operations and investigations.\n\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\n\nConduct advanced SIGINT/COMINT and Network Development (NetDev) analysis in support of USPIS criminal investigations and operations.\nPerform Social Network Analysis (SNA) and target development to identify key actors, relationships, and vulnerabilities in criminal networks.\nSupport tactical SIGINT operations and geo-location techniques in coordination with investigative personnel.\nAnalyze multi-source communications data (telephony, mobile networks, IP-based communications, social media, and other digital platforms) to build network, pattern-of-life, and suspect profiles.\nDevelop and maintain network diagrams, association charts, timelines, dashboards, and geospatial visualizations to support investigative strategy and case presentations.\nDesign and execute complex analytic workflows using large, heterogeneous datasets; generate investigative leads and actionable intelligence for law enforcement personnel.\nSupport lawful intercept and live-collection activities in accordance with applicable legal, policy, and privacy requirements.\nCollaborate with investigators, analysts, and technical staff to refine workflows, tools, and methodologies aligned with evolving communications technologies.\nEnsure strict adherence to legal, privacy, classification, and ethical standards in all aspects of data handling, storage, querying, and analysis.\nProduce clear, concise written reports and deliver oral briefings to Postal Inspectors, investigative leadership, and other law enforcement partners.\nStrong understanding of lawful intercept concepts, constraints, and relevant legal/policy frameworks.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-focused, multidisciplinary environment.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\n\nEducation Requirements\n\nBachelors Degree from an accredited College/University in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or related discipline) preferred.\n\nExperience\n\n12+ years’ experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) performing Signals and Communications Intelligence (SIGINT/COMINT) analysis and Network Development (NetDev)\n\nRequired Technical Skills:\n\nProficiency with government-approved geospatial desktop, enterprise, and online capabilities used for analysis and dashboard creation;\nProficiency in Python and notebook-based analysis for automation and data processing;\nExpertise with Penlink PLX, Gladiator (or IC equivalent) and i2 Analyst Notebook (or IC equivalent);\nExperience with query syntax (Boolean, REGEX) and massive dataset querying.\nExperience with tactical SIGINT operations and geo-location techniques.\nProficiency in Python and notebook-based analysis (e.g., Jupyter) for automation and data processing.\nExperience with query syntax (Boolean, REGEX) and massive dataset querying across large, complex data stores.\n\nMust-Have Skills\n\nAnalytical & Operational Experience\nDemonstrated experience in Social Network Analysis (SNA) and target development.\nExperience with tactical SIGINT operations and geo-location techniques.\nSignals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Communications Intelligence (COMINT) analysis\nNetwork Development (NetDev)\n\nLocation\n\nOn-site / Sterling, VA\n\nSecurity Clearance Requirements\n\nMust possess an existing Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n\n401K with company match\nComprehensive health and wellness packages\nThe internal mobility team is dedicated to helping you own your career\nProfessional growth opportunities include paid education and certifications\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\n\n#zxc726\n\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n\n10 + years of related experience\n\n* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\n\nCertification\n\nTravel Required\n\nLess than 10%\n\nSalary and Benefit Information\n\nThe likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250.
