If this sparks your interest, you’re in the right place.\nDLR Group operates within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.\nThe Engineering team has an opening for an Electrical Engineer.\nLocations:\nDallas, Texas\nPosition Summary\nAs an Electrical Engineer at DLR Group you will be responsible for participating in the design process of electrical building systems from schematics through construction administration, preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and performing design calculations. As part of our integrated design teams, you will create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.\nThe successful candidate will\nAssist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.\nDevelop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.\nPrepare engineering design calculations and layouts.\nPrepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.\nCoordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.\n5-10 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial architecture including K-12, Workplace, Higher Education, Justice+Civic, and Sports.\nPassed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious internship, co-op experience, or full time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm.\nLicensed Electrical Engineer (Registered in Texas).\nExperience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.\nExperience and interest in sustainable building design.\nLighting and/or low voltage design experience.\nDLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.\nWe are 100% employee-owned: every employee is literally invested in our clients’ success.
