Insulation Crew Lead

Wisconsin Home Improvement provides training, growth opportunities, and a collaborative environment for field and crew leaders.Role Description The Insulation Crew Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Menomonee Falls, WI. This position oversees daily insulation projects, including reviewing job plans, loading materials, organizing tools and equipment, and ensuring work areas are prepared and protected. The Crew Lead installs and supervises the installation of various insulation materials (such as blown-in, batt, and spray applications) in attics, walls, basements, and crawlspaces according to specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include directing crew members, assigning tasks, monitoring quality, and troubleshooting issues on-site to keep projects on schedule. The role also involves communicating with customers, answering basic questions, documenting work performed, and completing job reports. Additional duties may include vehicle and equipment inspections, maintaining a clean and safe jobsite, and supporting training of new team members.QualificationsExperience leading field crews or teams in construction, home improvement, or a related trade, with the ability to assign tasks, coach team members, and maintain productivity.Hands-on experience with insulation installation or residential construction (e.g., working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces) and familiarity with basic hand and power tools.Strong commitment to safety practices, including use of PPE, ladder and fall protection, and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain work being done and represent the company professionally on-site.Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills to address jobsite challenges, material needs, and schedule changes.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate company vehicles as needed.Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying materials, standing, bending, and working in varying temperatures and conditions.High school diploma or equivalent; additional trade certifications or weatherization/insulation training are a plus.Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work standard daytime hours and occasional overtime based on project demands.
