Arthrex is actively searching for CNC Machine Operators to support our Pendleton, SC manufacturing facility on Night Shift (Monday through Thursday, 7:30 pm to 6 am). The minimum requirement for CNC Operators is a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 6 months of applicable experience. Additional years of experience and technical expertise are required for positions beyond an Operator I. Successful candidates will be assigned to an area based off skill set and availability of positions.\n\nMain Objective:\nTo produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. Troubleshoot and repair equipment when machine is not working properly.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAll levels:\nWith little to no supervision follow written process and operate a variety of CNC machines and special processes\nReceives work order and verifies that the components are correct\nReceives material and loads on bar feeder\nPerforms and records line clearance\nVerifies the machine is running the correct program\nDeburr parts as required\nMeasure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments\nInteract in a Manufacturing environment with a variety of personnel and shift changeover on a daily basis\nConfirms that inspection process is kept at AQLS C=0. Example: check parts every 30 minutes\nMaintains good quality and production output\nSort/rework parts as required\nAssists out on other operations as required\nData entry in SAP system\nShows exceptional teamwork and interact in a Manufacturing environment with a variety of personnel and shift change over on a daily basis\nMaintain their work area in a clean orderly condition and follows safety procedures\nReport any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately\nPerforms first cut-off\nReturns all axis to the home position\nStops machine to change settings, replace tools and perform tool offsets\nRecommends process improvements with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems\nCNC MO II:\nAll duties listed above plus:\nAdjusts bar feeder for proper size of material and performs a dry run without material; verifies material against work order for correct lot number\nPerforms first PC inspection when set-up is completed\nAdjusts tools to meet blueprint specifications.\nDownloads programs to the machine, dry run machine with no material and all tools in place\nMonitors screen pages and machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media; verifies the correct program in the machine is running\nSets up multi axis lathes and milling machining centers; operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data\nDemonstrates ability to streamline processes to increase productivity and quality\nInstalls and adjusts collects with proper pressure\nCleans and assembles all collect assemblies, removes or replaces fixture, collects and tools. Inspects old collects and guide brushes\nVerifies correct tools against tool sheet and program; sets up any type of tool in the pre-setter and/or machine\nNotifies programmers of issues and updates required for improvements\nSupport machine operators as assigned by Crew Coordinators and/or Supervisor\nCNC MO III:\nAll duties listed above plus:\nProduction and pilot production jobs are set up consistently, timely and accurately\nAbility to identify root cause of problems related to machine settings, tooling, fixturing and collets, and notifies to leadership and correct when authorized\nAbility to drive others to exceed goals\nAbility to identify programming, tool data sheets (TDS) and/or process data sheets (PDS) issues/discrepancies and notify Engineering\nAssists crew coordinators and mentor lower level operators using effective training and troubleshooting methodology\n\nEducation and Experience:\nCNC MO I High School Diploma or equivalent AND 6 months of direct CNC experience\nCNC MO II High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of direct CNC machine experience\nCNC MO III High School Diploma or equivalent AND 4 years of direct CNC machine experience\n\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements:\nAll Levels:\nA desire to improve in all areas, and work as part of a team committed to safety, quality, and efficiency.\nAttention to detail.\nSuccessful completion of assigned curriculum within 180 days of hire/transfer which includes completing the Fundamentals of Manufacturing.\nBasic computer literacy, basic math skills, a desire to improve in all areas, and work as part of a team committed to safety, quality, and efficiency.\nCNC MO II:\nCNC machines set up experience is preferred, use different types of measuring tools and perform all aspects of line clearance.\nCNC MO III:\nCNC machines set up experience is required, use different types of measuring tools and perform all aspects of line clearance.\nAdvanced computer literacy.\n\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nMulti axis Swiss lathes\nLathes\nMilling machining centers\nGrinders\nEDM\n\nPhysical Demands:\nExerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
