ConnectLife is much more than a 9-5 job, it is an opportunity to save and enhance lives.LocationConnectLife HQ- 4444 Bryant and Stratton Way, Williamsville, NY 14221Hybrid after successful completion of orientation periodStatus:Full Time, HourlyPay:$17.75/hrJob SummaryResponsible for the timely and accurate review of ConnectLife Organ, Eye and Tissue deceased donor charts, including electronic medical records, and any other associated record reviews to ensure quality compliance with all SOP’s, regulatory/accrediting agency policy/standards.Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree in health care or related field preferred.Experience:1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting required.Customer service experience required.Experience of adhering to quality compliance of multiple agency standards preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:Basic medical terminology and medical record review.Proficiency in keyboarding, Microsoft Suite, and data entry.Must be adaptable to change, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to think critically and multi-task while maintaining focus and accuracy through interruptions.Must have a strong attention to detail, and work with a high degree of accuracy.Must be able to remain professional while dealing with confidential information.Experience with working in a collaborative team environment.Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Essential Job Functions: Work collaboratively with ConnectLife’s Clinical Departments to ensure that all regulatory standards are met in reference to the deceased donor and Birth Tissue donor chart and records. Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of all privileged information.Performs initial Quality Control review of clinical donor records post recovery. Ensures required clinical data has been collected and documented in all ConnectLife Organ, Tissue, and Eye Services charts/electronic medical record for accurate reporting and analysis of organizational performance measures.Investigates errors and/or discrepancies in the donor record. Documents and communicates the review of findings to the appropriate staff members.Performs Final Quality Control review of records once staff members have corrected issues.Manages multiple electronic medical record systems across ConnectLife’s Donor Service Area.Maintains required time-sensitive benchmarks set for chart upload to all processors involved.Addresses tissue processor inquiries in a timely manner and with excellent customer service. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring completion of communication log inquiries received from processors.Participates in quality improvement activities such as internal and external audits, as requested, and utilizes the Deviation Management System for Medical Records and donor chart related issues.Attend and participate in meetings applicable to the Medical Records Department, including required trainings to stay informed and current regarding changes in the field, and organizational-specific electronic medical records and software, as needed.Continuously monitors all communication mediums throughout the shift for updates and pertinent job information.Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external communications.What We OfferHealth InsuranceEmployer Sponsored Dental & Vision insuranceEmployer Sponsored Life insurancePaid vacation & sick time on an accrual basis beginning on day 1401(k) after one year of service with 3% employer contributionEmployee Referral BonusesMileage ReimbursementPet insuranceAnd more!
