Purchasing Supply Chain Manager
A global business is looking to hire an experienced Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing operations, supplier management, inventory control, and procurement processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This position is based on site near Oklahoma City, OK.The Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager will:Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations for materials and servicesManage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with contractual agreementsSupport inventory management activities to minimise stock shortages while maintaining cost efficiencyMaintain approved vendor records and conduct regular supplier performance reviewsMonitor order status and delivery schedules, proactively managing delays, shortages, overages, and damaged goodsCoordinate purchasing activities across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with company policies and operational requirementsWork closely with Production teams to support material planning, forecasting, and lead time managementDeliver training and guidance relating to purchasing processes and best practicesSupport purchasing process improvements, inventory controls, and supply chain optimisation initiativesManage purchasing documentation, shipment records, and procurement reportingAssist in the development and maintenance of purchasing procedures and policiesKey Requirements: Previous experience within purchasing, procurement or materials management rolesStrong supplier and stakeholder management skillsExperience working within manufacturing, production, or operational environments preferredGood understanding of inventory management and purchasing processesAbility to analyse data, prioritise workloads, and manage multiple activities simultaneouslyExperience using ERP systems such as Fishbowl or similar platformsBachelor’s degree preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered
